daily moments – week 31

This was our last week with no plans before school starts on Monday. I think we did something fun almost everyday this week so by Friday I was exhausted. I think everyone is excited about Monday.

Here’s our week . . .

Waiting so patiently for his turn.

I made myself a cake for my birthday. I do it every year. I realized after having my first child that no one will make your day special. You have to do it yourself.

Silas’ new restaurant features “Water White” aka water with a side of marshmallows.

Game night after days of rain.

This summer I did piano lessons with the oldest two boys. We only got halfway through their books but I am glad we got started.

Instructing his fellow co-pilot.

A quick ice cream break.

Each of the boys enjoy reading independently. So when I am exhausted at the end of the day, I tell them they have 15 minutes.

More messages in the Mom book.

As frustrating as it was to entertain all three while it rained for three days, I was happy to get a break in the heat and it was a reminder that cooler weather is on its way.

Creek fun at the park.

Grateful for our small garden harvest.

Pool snacks.

I often forget how much the boys love art.

“Modal of Viking Ship Being Attacked” by Brooks.

See you next week!
