Happy Birthday Silas Boy!
Here’s a few of my favorites over the last year. . .
Sometimes I look at you and wonder, how could he be mine? You look nothing like me and you love science and nature. You love your brothers and love being with them. You love people and music and food and Legos and books. There’s a long list of loves in your life. You are passionate and have an amazing mind.
One of my favorite memories of this past year was taking you to London. We talked about it for so long and it was a joy to see it through your eyes. To finally take you to see Big Ben and see Buckingham Palace with the guards on horse back and to ride the train under the sea was a dream come true. I love experiencing life and adventures with you.
This summer you put “making my own office” on your bucket list and you did it. And in the course of one week you wrote four books about different aspects of nature in “your office”. My boy, you amaze me. You sing passionately and that makes my heart happy. You are adventurous and curious and your dedication to “research” is a wonder to me and your Dad.
When I look at you, I know you will go far and you will do just fine. Your imagination and your swagger in life will carry you through amazing and hard times. Don’t let your anger get the best of you. Keep your head high and see the beauty around you. Remember your love for nature and for humor. Keep laughing little one – its contagious.
