This week we had the most incredible weather, partly due to the fact that there is a major hurricane headed our way in a few days. We made the most of every minute outside playing soccer, football, swimming, riding bikes, walking, and the playground. We’ve had a long Saturday at a birthday and two soccer games. I can hear Mark reading to the kids in the next room getting ready for an earlier-than-normal bedtime. We are both anxious to get them to bed, order food, and watch our newest Netflix show.
Here’s our week . . .
Jonas’ first day of preschool. He loves it.
Like I mentioned above, we’ve had incredible weather. I made soup, bread, and cakes. I also learned my window has a perfect ledge for my cooling baked goods.
I worked on Friday and had a little time to stop by an antique market I have wanted to visit for awhile. Turns out antiques are not like flea markets and I couldn’t afford anything there.
One of the downsides of my work is the envy that develops afterwards. I come home wanting to redo my bathrooms, kitchens, and bedrooms. Luckily, thats the only downside.
Brooks drew the pictures and Silas cut them out and taped them to the wall. It was a team effort.
Dinner! Roasted grapes and sausage. It was so easy.
I didn’t take any pictures of my kids playing soccer but I did take a picture of the cookies a kind woman gave to Jonas when he was antsy at the game. I didn’t realize this until I looked at everyone’s Instagram posts of their kids first games when I got home.
Hope everyone is safe during the storm and see you next week!
