daily moments – week 28 & 29

The past weeks have been a whirlwind of activity. The boys went north to Grandma and Grandpa’s for a week. Mark and I had the house to ourselves for a few days until he surprised me and took me to Maine!!! for a few days on our 10th anniversary. It was fun but all too quick. This week Brooks and Silas went to soccer camp in the morning and we swam in the afternoon. School starts in two short weeks and I have mixed feelings. I am already missing Silas who will be headed for kindergarten this year. He is excited and doesn’t seem nervous or anxious. Brooks is ready as well. He loves school and enjoys being the older brother who knows all. Jonas will be home with me for another month until his school starts. He is the most anxious to get away from me and be with his teachers. Can’t believe its almost the end of our summer.

Here’s our week . . .

One evening the sunset was amazing!

Looking at the sea.

The best lobster of our trip in Portland Maine from a food truck.

Overlooking a very old lighthouse. Exactly what I pictured Maine looking like.

Mark picking out souvenirs for the kids.

Purple sand?

Boat House.

Lunch one afternoon at Stonewall Kitchens.

A wood house in Salem, MA.

Who knew Boston had a beach?

Digging during soccer camp.

Yogurt for lunch. Another activity checked off our Summer Bucket List.

Building towers in the morning.

Hiding from “bruders.”

Playdough keeps him entertained for hours.

My boys building robots.

More lobster!

History in Massachusetts.
Another quaint lighthouse in Maine. Still working on those selfies.

A different sea view from the South.
See you next week!
