So I’ve been contemplating leaving Blogger. We haven’t had the best relationship and sometimes I think its time to call it quits and move to another host site. I was complaining to Mark on one of those occasions, and being the realist and logical one between us, told me it was a horrible idea.
One of my main frustrations is with comments. Sometimes I wonder if anyone is looking and reading, but then someone will ask me a question or comment, in person, about the blog. Then they’ll say, I tried to comment but the site wouldn’t let me. Arrrgh.
So, I know. I don’t spend time writing and posting to get comments. I do it because I live far from family and close friends and I want them to feel they are apart of our lives. Explaining all of this to Mark he asks, “Have you checked the comments setting?” No. Of course I didn’t.
Within 15 minutes, Mark had the settings changed and even told me how many hits I get not only in a month, but a week and how many people were looking at it everyday. Wow. So there are a lot of you looking at the blog. (I know, I should have known that information, but I never thought to look or check.)
So now that the settings have changed, would you mind trying to leave me a comment? I doesn’t have to be big, just a “Hi!” That way I know if we are on track.
And since I know you’re checking the site for pictures and not my writing, here are some family pics we took over Labor Day. I’ve been begging Mark to take some pictures of me and boys. These turned out much better than I thought they would. We took them before 9am and it was already incredible hot. So I didn’t have high hopes, but the lightning worked. I think we may try it again when its not a sauna.
This is the first time it has EVER let me comment! Cute pics…..Love the long-distance ones on the road, and the one above on the bridge. Shannon
Thanks Aunt Shannon! Good to know you were able to post.
like seeing the family updates. curt.
You know I'm a regular here ๐ And Blogger annoys me to no end as well! I'm just afraid of the amount of time it would take me to figure out how to switch so I just keep using it. If you ever figure out an easy way to make a switch, let me know!
Wow Curt, burning the midnight oil?
I check your blog frequently and Grandma and I love keeping up with what you all are doing. I couldn't figure out how to comment before either, but we love the blog!Jane
Thanks Jennifer! I'm a regular of yours too. I've looked at wordpress. They seem to have better templates and commenting seems to be easier, but I'm not sure. I've had a few tell me they are still not able to comment.
Hi beautiful friend, with a beautiful family…..inside and out!!! It's me, A, btw!
Thank You A!
