Yesterday I was able to celebrate my second Mother’s Day. Mark took me out to brunch, I took a nap, I was able to read by the pool, and I did zero cleaning. It was a relaxing day as I thought about the joys and hardships of being a mother and also the upcoming arrival of my second child.
My sister Alissa was able to experience Mother’s Day for the first time as she welcomed her first baby into the world yesterday. It is a rare occurance to become a mother on Mother’s Day, but my sister isn’t the first to have this experience in my family. Alissa was born on Mother’s Day. What are the odds? Because she became a mother on Mother’s Day a local news station interviewed her yesterday.
I hope everyone had a restful and relaxing Mother’s Day.
